MetiLinx Expands Integration With HP OpenView

ISystems Enterprise, which includes system management, network performance optimization, database optimization and data synchronization capabilities, is now integrated with HP's OpenView Service Navigator, said Ian McClure, director of marketing at MetiLinx, San Mateo, Calif.

Service Navigator provides a GUI for managing applications and services according to the business objectives they support.

"We're saying, 'here's some intelligent, realtime information for your GUI,'" McClure said.

The integration provides Service Navigator customers with access to MetiLinx's capabilities, including the ability to add or subtract server capacity as needed, McClure said.

In addition, iSystems Enterprise improves infrastructure performance by finding the best path for routing a transaction through the server environment, McClure said.

MetiLinx already offers integration to other OpenView products, including Network Node Manager and Operations, he said.

ISystem Enterprise is sold direct and through channel partners, including HP Services, HP's professional services arm, McClure said.
