Novell Prepares To Ship Netware 6.5

The new version aims to enhance the consolidation of enterprise servers and systems, the company said, and includes Nterprise Branch Office for coordinating network services with remote locations.

Web application services are also addressed, with the new version capable of running the full range of compatible Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) applications, Novell said. Open-source integration in the new release includes Apache, MySQL, Perl, PHP and Tomcat.
