The bundled solution, according to Yossi Vardi, Radware vice president of vice president of global business development will offer users a more comprehensive application delivery solution and enable VARs to bundle the products together for data center deployments.

The partnership falls in line with Juniper's focus on high-performance networks and its mission to offer fast, reliable and secure access to services and applications over a single network. Adding Radware's AppDirector controller into the mix adds a new level of scalability and performance. Vardi said the joint solution will help drive customers toward an application aware network that offers application availability, optimized end user response times and productivity within a secure application delivery infrastructure.

Vardi said the partnership fills a void left when Juniper announced the end-of-life of the DX application acceleration product suite.

According to Vardi, Juniper VARs can offer AppDirector to customers that still have the DX installed. Those customers will receive a 30 percent discount on the purchase and the channel partner will receive the same margin offered by Juniper for the discontinued product line.

"The opportunity for the channel is to wrap the entire solution together as a bundle," he said, adding that partners can also offer deployment planning and maintenance services around AppDirector and build new business around it.

"Radware will honor the replacement discount and channel margin for existing customers," he continued, and proactive partners that offer AppDirector to new customers will see an additional 10 points for a registered customer.

Vardi said Radware will also begin offering training programs and certifications around data center solutions. The bundled solution will be available through some Juniper resellers as well as Radware VARs. Currently, Vardi said, Radware is in the early stages of updating the channel.

"Our primary objective is to focus on those close to the server," Vardi said, "and offer more interoperable solutions."

Juniper agreed that partnering with Radware fits in its high-performance network strategy.

"Juniper partners with companies like Radware to deliver high-performance networking solutions that customers require," said Doug Erikson, director of worldwide alliance and channel development for Juniper. "We look forward to providing our customers and partners with solutions that deliver high availability, maximum performance and comprehensive security."

Vardi agreed and said the pairing will help customers and channel partners leverage their high-performance networks.

"We are very excited about the opportunity to team with the market leader in high-performance networking," he said. "The value proposition of our joint solutions meets customers' requirements for availability, performance and security, and provides a scalable cost-effective solution for future growth with full investment protection."
