ShoreTel's top global sales executive is leaving the company, CRN has learned.
Don Girskis, whose title is senior vice president, worldwide sales, has been with ShoreTel since 2008. A ShoreTel representative confirmed his pending departure to CRN Tuesday but did not provide additional details.
Sources close to the situation say that Girskis is retiring and that ShoreTel has begun looking for his replacement.

Girskis' exit comes at a critical time for ShoreTel, which recently used most of its cash pile for a $146 million acquisition of hosted UC player M5 Networks, and has built momentum in the channel behind the mobility technology it acquired with Agito Networks in 2010.
Before ShoreTel, Girskis spent eight years at Boost Mobile, most recently as senior vice president and general manager. According to his LinkedIn profile, Girskis earlier in his career was a general manager and area vice president of sales for Nextel.
