Video: Cisco CTO Comes Clean On 'Spin-In' Insiemi

Many IT companies have had spin-offs, but Cisco has a "spin-in."

The networking giant was long rumored to have invested in Insiemi, a software-defined networking (SDN) start-up. Cisco confirmed that it has invested $100 million into Insiemi and that it has the rights to acquire the business for $750 million more.

In an interview with CRN, Cisco CTO Padmasree Warrior explains the opportunity around the emerging technology of SDN and why Cisco believes Insiemi is so valuable to the networking company's future.
