Boeing To Use Cisco IP Products

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Chicago-based aircraft manufacturer will use the technology to integrate its voice, video and data systems into a single, converged network.

Boeing said the cost-effective Cisco enhancements would "meet the mobility demands of the virtual office worker."

An IP telephony pilot program has been in place since July 2001 and has grown to include about 4,500 Cisco IP phones in Missouri, Texas, Utah and Washington facilities.

Cisco shares recently rose 14 cents to $22.43 in morning trading on the Nasdaq National Market.
