Federal government integrator and Solution Provider 500 stalwart Force 3 has a new chief executive.

Les Trachtman, who's been the Crofton, Md.-based solution provider's chief operating officer since 2008, succeeds current CEO and founder Rocky Cintron, who is now board chairman. Force 3 will formally announce the succession Tuesday.

"As COO, Les has implemented game-changing processes," Cintron said in a statement emailed to CRN. "He has been a driving force behind our leadership programs and the catalyst to change the mix of our business. Perhaps most importantly, he has assembled the best leadership team in our industry."

Trachtman was previously CEO of companies such as Transcentive and e-OneHundred Group and also ran corporate development for Progress Software and Hyperion Software. Among other moves at Force 3, he led the company's June 2012 acquisition of secureRAD, a medical imaging solutions integrator.

Founded in 1992, Force 3 has about 300 employees and focuses on data center, cloud, converged infrastructure, borderless networks, security and medical imaging technologies for the federal government. Among other vendor relationships, it's a top Cisco partner in the federal space and was named Cisco's Federal Collaboration Partner of the Year in 2012.

Several other Force 3 executives gained new roles in November 2012. Sudhir Verma, former vice president of consulting services, is now chief services officer. Chris Knotts, former vice president of technology and innovation, is now CTO. Mike Greaney, former vice president of sales, is now chief revenue officer. And, Steve Scribner, formerly controller, is now vice president of accounting and finance.
