CRN Exclusive: EnGenius Launches ProAV Integrator Partner Program

Wireless specialist EnGenius Technologies took the wraps off a new partner program that includes training, technical support and a certification course for ProAV integrator partners with the goal of on-boarding thousands of new integrators.

"The network is the backbone of what [partners are] providing within a lot of their installations, so we're seeing that Wi-Fi is playing a big part in the ProAV space all the time now," said Bryan Slayman, business development manager at EnGenius. "We're at a point where we felt the need to build that relationship. … There's not too many other programs that assist partners in the way we're assisting them with this."

The EnGenius ProAV Integrator Partner Program includes a free, full-scale network design assistance service along with a free Level 2 technical support hotline to ensure partners get the pre- and post-sales support needed. The program also offers a one-day CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) certification course to teach partners how to select and deploy wired and wireless networking solutions.

"Training is a big part of the program that we know the ProAV space cries out for," said Vicki Bilyeu, channel marketing manager at EnGenius, Costa Mesa, Calif. "We're giving online training and face-to-face in-person training … the certified operator training includes everything about the basics of wireless networking and some of the EnGenuis products."

EnGenius does not charge licensing or subscription fees for monitoring or managing its products, aiming to help partners maximize revenue, said Bilyeu. The company also is offering discounted demo programs as well as deal registration.

Curt Hayes, president and CFO of Capitol Sales, an Eagan, Minn.-based EnGenius partner, said the program is "a major leap forward" to help customers learn more about EnGenius solutions, which will drive sales.

"EnGenius' approach to providing a deep catalog of networking products, design assistance and training will help [our] dealers significantly grow their bottom lines while positioning themselves as true experts on the subject," he said.

Hayes says EnGenius' partner commitment is at an all-time high in 2015.

"Their approach covers all the bases, from product to system design, training and support before and after the sale," he said.

Earlier this year, EnGenius expanded its Channel Partner Program to add an Empowered Certified Operator and System Engineer hands-on training course to help partners to become experts in the field.

Bilyeu said the company's strategy over the past few years has been geared toward providing more programs for its channel community.

In 2015, EnGenius is focusing on vertical markets and helping partners that participate in those markets, according to Bilyeu. EnGenius will soon launch a program targeting the education market, she said, with one slated for this hospitality space in the future.

"We're really focusing on the vertical this year and reaching out to those dealers and getting the tools and programs they need be able to sell our products effectively and increase their revenue along the way," said Bilyeu.
