Cisco Launches Deal Registration for New SMB Accounts

Aspreviously reported in CRN, the company is expanding its Opportunity Incentive Program (OIP), its deal registration offering, with a new component for solution providers targeting businesses with fewer than 500 employees.

The new Success Builder OIP component is part of Cisco's larger Success Builder channel marketing program, which targets SMB customers by providing price breaks, leasing options and training credits.

Under OIP, Cisco provides exclusive product discounts to solution providers that register new sales opportunities. OIP's Success Builder component rewards certified and registered partners with a one-time incentive on new implementations of Cisco SMB-class routers and switches.

"For the partners that are willing to hunt and find new opportunities we want to make sure they are protected for their pre-sales investment," said Chuck Robbins, vice president of U.S. channels at Cisco, San Jose, Calif.

Cisco has also expanded IP Freedom, the component of its OIP program that provides deal registration for new IP communications business. Previously, only accounts with 300 to 1,000 employees were eligible for the program, but that has been extended to all sub-1,000 employee accounts.

IP Freedom is available to Cisco IP communications Specialized or IP Communications Express Specialized partners.

Cisco last month through OIP introduced IP Network Defender, a deal registration program for security products open to its Cisco Security Specialized and Security Express Specialized partners.
