Ex-HP Chief Fiorina Joins Cybertrust Board

In a joint statement, John Becker, chief executive of the Hendon, Va., company, said Fiorina "brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and insight into how technology impacts businesses and governments, and her leadership and management experience will be a tremendous asset to the company."

Fiorina said she was "looking forward to serving" on the board.

"Information security will be a key driver of growth and innovation in the technology industry for years to come," Fiorina said.

The board position is Fiorina's first move since being ousted earlier this year by the HP board, which was unhappy with the direction Fiorina was taking the company following the merger with Compaq Computer. She was later replaced with Mark Hurd, former chief executive and president of NCR Corp.

Cybertrust was formed in November of last year through the merger of TruSecure and Betrusted Holdings, which had combined annual revenue of about $160 million. The merger was part of a consolidation trend in the managed security-services market.
