VeriSign To Stop Reselling Third-Party Products

VeriSign

The Internet security company, based here, resold products from numerous vendors, including Check Point Software Technologies and Nokia, a spokesman said. VeriSign also will no longer provide third-party retail training, he said.

The company is terminating 60 employees as a result of its decision to drop the reseller activities.

"VeriSign is focused on its core businesses that drive its strategy," the spokesman said. "Since third-party reselling and third-party retail training are not a core business, we made the difficult decision, but we think correct decision, to transition out of that business."
