CA Unveils Integrated Security Product

By integrating multiple functions in one solution, eTrust Secure Content Management provides security at a lower cost than deploying multiple products, according to CA executives.

The software provides policy-based scanning of e-mail and Web traffic to block malicious or unacceptable content, as well as integrated policy management, CA said. Through its Accept/Deny feature, administrators can allow users to filter spam and block certain Web sites, reducing false positives.

Slated for general availability this fall, eTrust Secure Content Management is expected to start at $55 per seat, with discounts for volume purchases. Pricing for upgrades for current eTrust Antivirus customers and those looking to migrate from competing products starts at $22 per seat.

From now until the software is generally available, CA is offering a 50 percent promotional discount off upgrade prices for customers that bought eTrust Antivirus since March 3, 2003.
