Security solution provider Vigilinx said Thursday that it plans to integrate Qualys' vulnerability assessment service into its security intelligence service, IntelliShield.
Integrating Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Qualys' Web-based service into IntelliShield will boost the proactive capabilities of Vigilinx's service, said Adam Lipson, executive vice president of client services at Vigilinx, based here.
IntelliShield provides threat and vulnerability notifications, along with workflow management tools. With the QualysGuard network-scanning engine integrated into the IntelliShield interface, customers will be able to scan their systems after they receive an alert to determine whether they're vulnerable, Lipson said.
He said Vigilinx expects to offer the Qualys service to its customers within the next 30 days.
