Symantec Monday launched a new partner Web site that includes an online tool to help solution providers create customized e-mail and direct marketing programs.
The PartnerPromos site is an enhancement to Symantec's existing PartnerNet, said Allyson Seelinger, vice president of North American enterprise and consumer channels for Symantec, based here.
PartnerPromos includes a tool called PartnerMarketing, which allows the company's solution provider partners to order customized collateral for e-mail and direct-mail marketing campaigns that can be co-branded, she said. Symantec will cover the cost of some mailings for a limited time.
"Bottom line, we think it will help [our solution providers drive more revenue," Seelinger said of the new online tool. "It will help them create marketing programs to reach existing and new customers."
Since materials on the site are already approved by Symantec, a partner will be able to quickly generate an e-mail campaign without having to go back and forth for approvals, she added.
The PartnerPromos site provides partners a customized home page based on their partnership status with Symantec. The page includes featured promotions available for their partnership level as well as other promotions, product information, and links to Webcasts.
Seelinger said the site gives partners one point of access for information about Symantec and aims to demonstrate "how crucial partners and the channel are" to the company's success.
