MOCA plans to distribute enterprise security products from Symantec, according to both companies.
A Sun Microsystems-focused division of distributor Arrow Electronics, MOCA made the announcement at its Net@Work Partner Forum for solution providers here last week.
"Every enterprise must strengthen its security measures against the widespread incidence of hacker break-ins, and we are extremely pleased to now offer our Sun partners security solutions from Symantec," Rich Severa, president of El Segundo, Calif.-based MOCA, said in a statement. "These security products broaden our enterprise software offering and provide great alternatives for our customers seeking integrated security solutions."
MOCA associates will provide presales support to Sun solution providers for Symantec security products, including antivirus, firewall/VPN, vulnerability management, intrusion detection and more.
"We believe an overall, layered approach to security is the best way to combat blended threats and have developed a variety of products to protect enterprise networks," said Allyson Seelinger, Symantec's vice president of North American enterprise and consumer channels.
For example, the Cupertino, Calif., security vendor last week unveiled the Security Management System, designed to provide a comprehensive view and central management of an enterprise security environment.
