MaxWare Launches New Identity Management Synchronization Tool

Network administrators use ExpresSync to help manage personnel changes, such as when a person is hired or let go. With ExpresSync, the administrator can synchronize changes between the network operating system and the card key repository, for example, or a corporate portal and an application.

"This lets administrators make instantaneous changes to disable or enable a user's access to specific corporate information," said Ira Horowitz, director of worldwide marketing for MaxWare, Freehold, N.J.

ExpresSync is considered a lead-in product to MaxWare's more comprehensive identity management provisioning system for both MaxWare and its channel partners, Horowitz said. The Identity Management suite includes data synchronization, meta directory, virtual directory, and provisioning and password management modules.

"We are anxious to build up our channel with [ExpresSync]," Horowitz said. "This gives systems integrators and application resellers a tool to walk in the door and say, 'We're deploying this application for you, and you may want to synchronize the identity management for this application with other applications or databases.'
