Six new Symantec 2008 North American Partner Award winners came up to the stage Thursday to receive top honors during the company's 2008 PartnerEngage conference held in Washington, D.C. last week.
The recipients of the 2008 Symantec Partner Awards are:
-- "U.S. Partner of the Year" -- Consonus Technologies accepted by Mike Shook, President and CEO;
-- "U.S. Rookie of the Year" -- Laurus Technologies, accepted by Todd Wilson, director of sales;
-- "U.S. VAR of the Year" CMT, accepted by Kurt Klein, president;
-- "U.S. LAR of the Year" CDW, accepted by Tom Maloney, director of software sales;
-- "U.S. Public Sector Partner of the Year" CDWG, accepted by Jennifer Keating, director of technology infrastructure;
-- "Canada Partner of the Year" TeraMach, accepted by Darlene Kelly, chief operating officer.
The winners were formally recognized by Randy Cochran, Symantec vice president of North American channel sales, during his keynote on Thursday, Oct. 16. Symantec developed the Partner Awards program as a way of recognizing industry leaders globally for their innovative use of technology and ability to drive business.
The Symantec Partner Awards are given to channel leaders and organizations for their success in partnering with Symantec in order to help customers secure and manage business-critical information. The award also honors companies that have invested heavily in Symantec and expanded thier knowledge of Symantec's products and solutions.
