Sophos' Fogelgren Takes Channel Helm

Matt Fogelgren is heading Sophos channels after Chris Doggett stepped down from his role as vice president of global channels to take a position with a class action settlement recovery firm.

Sophos confirmed Doggett's departure and Fogelgren's expanded role Wednesday, but has yet to make an official announcement. Fogelgren continues in his role as director of channel sales at Sophos. Prior to that, Fogelgren served as regional sales manager at Cognos.

Doggett resigned from Sophos to take the position as executive vice president with Financial Recovery Technologies, which helps investment management firms maximize financial recovery from securities class action law suits.

Since joining Sophos in 2006 as director of channel sales for North America, Doggett had worked his way up the channel ranks, moving to director of global channel sales and finally vice president of global channel in January 2010.

At Sophos, Doggett also was integral in launching a global channel program, as well as a channel MSP program for the company's partners in May 2010.That same month, Doggett helped maintain channel relations after the company was acquired by private equity firm Apax Partners, freeing the company up to innovate and further invest in marketing and R&D.
