Flashpoint Launches Global Channel Program To Bring Business Risk, Threat Intelligence Solution To Partners

Flashpoint has launched its first global partner program to help solution providers take advantage of the significant opportunity around business risk intelligence, the company announced Tuesday.

CEO Josh Lefkowitz said the New York-based security company had seen growing demand for its business risk intelligence solution, which looks to create a more comprehensive threat intelligence picture by moving beyond indicators of compromise to include other areas like fraud, insider threat, executives, third-party vendors, M&A and more.

"There is a real demand and an opportunity reach a far more structured, rigorous and expansive partner and channel program that is responding to the robust interest that we're seeing," Leftkowitz said. He said partners will also help Flashpoint address existing end customer demand and expand its global footprint.

Lefkowitz said Flashpoint's partner program to date has been "embryonic." However, he said when the company raised $28 million in Series C funding in July, one of the primary reasons for that capital raise was to fund substantial investments in sales and marketing. One of those sales initiatives is the channel, he said.

"We see the channel as an absolutely integral driver of our global success," Lefkowitz said. "We see [this channel program] as utterly foundational to that global growth that we're funding."Lefkowitz said. "We see [this channel program] as utterly foundational to that global growth that we're funding."

The Global Channel Program includes access to the Flashpoint product set, pre-sales support, post-sales support, education, margin protection, and marketing development funds, Lefkowitz said. The program includes about 50 partners and Lefkowitz said that group is made up of integration partners, open source intelligence vendors and resellers.

"I think it's just going to improve our relationship," said Larry Pfeifer, president of Consortium Networks, a Flashpoint reseller. "When I was dealing with them until this point, I didn't think they were really channel-focused. I see them enabling the channel even more now."

Pfeifer said threat intelligence traditionally focus on indicators of compromise, but customers are now looking to apply threat intelligence in new, more business-focused ways.

He said the approach Flashpoint offers is more like hiring an ad hoc threat analyst for threat intelligence, rather than buying a next-generation IPS.

"I think that would be very applicable to customers. My number one concern is my customers," Pfeifer said. "The more I can help out the customers, the happier I’ll be."
