Veritas Gets New CFO

Edwin Gillis, currently executive vice president and CFO at Parametric Technology, will take the CFO and executive vice president spot vacated by Kenneth Lonchar in early October after it was revealed that Lonchar had lied on his resume.

A Veritas spokesperson said that Gillis is remaining at his current position until the end of this week, and will officially join Veritas on Monday. Gillis was unavailable to comment on his upcoming move to Veritas until then, the spokesperson said.

"Gillis' experience in growing operations internationally, as well as his combined software company operating experience and public accounting experience add even greater depth to Veritas' management team," said Gary Bloom, president and CEO of Veritas, in a statement. "We found Gillis' qualifications unmatched. He will be a major asset as we continue to extend our leadership position in storage management software."
