Intronis Ramps Up Partner Offerings

Cloud backup and recovery company Intronis has been busy transforming its business to further target partners and small businesses.

Intronis recently introduced the ECHOplatform, which Co-Founder and Vice President Neal Bradbury said is "changing Intronis from being a file-folder vendor to a full data protection platform to protect small businesses."

"For us and for the partner, it’s really about consolidation," Bradbury said. With the new platform, partners can sell a local off-site, single-vendor strategy to customers. With a flat-rate pricing model, branded the U2 model, partners can ensure a fixed month-to-month cost as well. Bradbury expects margins for partners to range from 75 percent to 200 percent, depending on how partners go to market with the platform.

In addition, Intronis recently launched its Bare Metal Restore technology, which captures data and applications to back up on laptops, PCs and servers.

"Small businesses can't afford to be down for a few days," Bradbury said. Most important of all, Bradbury insists that no small business should go out of business because of lack of data backup.
