Dell Taps InfoLogix For Services Partnership With Health Care Clients

For the last several years, InfoLogix, based in Hatboro, Pa., has provided RFID-ready medical carts and other healthcare-focused products and applications to Dell customers. The expansion of the deal will help both companies better serve that vertical market, said Jason Fradin, director of marketing at InfoLogix.

InfoLogix will now be doing wireless site surveys, wireless network infrastructure, wireless hardware installation and professional services for Dell's clients, Fradin said. "It really opens the full spectrum of enterprise mobility solutions for Dell's health care customers," he said.

Dell executives declined to comment on the company's relationship with InfoLogix, but the agreement comes in the wake of Dell saying it wants to increase and improve its channel relationships with solution providers.

Earlier this week, Dell's vice president of commercial channels Greg Davis told CMP Channel that Dell has about 350 people dedicated to its new channel organization, about 25 percent of whom are field sales reps calling on solution providers.

The Dell-InfoLogix deal is national in scope, but Fradin could not say if it was exclusive for all of Dell's health care customers. "I can tell you we will be their primary, go-to partner," he said.

"It's a revenue opportunity for Dell at same time. In our minds, we like to think that we were a contributing factor [in Dell developing channel partnerships]. We're proof positive for these programs," Fradin said.
