Cisco Says Intercloud Will Be 'Partner-Friendly'

Cisco's Chuck Robbins didn't shy away from questions about the new competition between HP and Cisco in the public cloud space, hailing Cisco's Intercloud as a different option for partners.
"It's about actually responding to our customers' request," said Robbins. According to Cisco, entering the public cloud arena is a move that in itself responds to customer demand.
Robbins said Cisco will "play bigger" in the cloud space, building out Intercloud to be "partner-friendly and partner-enabled" from the first day, "as opposed to some vendors who have launched a cloud service and then figured out how to make it work for partners."
Robbins said that Cisco is committed to working with partners on an individual level to maximize their success with Cisco's new cloud strategy.
