VMware: We Raised The Bar With vCloud (Video)

CRN TV talks with VMware's Mathew Lodge at VMworld 2012 to get the latest update on vCloud and VMware's clouds services, as well as competition with Windows Server 2012.

Mathew Lodge, vice president of cloud services at VMware, spoke with CRN TV during VMworld 2012 in San Francisco and discussed the competitive landscape in the virtualization market. Specifically, he addressed Microsoft and the software giant's forthcoming Windows Server 2012.

"Microsoft has been trying to compare VMware against this thing that doesn't exist for over a year now, so we look forward to them actually delivering it into the market," Lodge quipped about Windows Server 2012. "But we think we've just raised the bar with vCloud and the integration and functionality that our customers can get."

Lodge also discussed how VMware has bundled together several cloud-oriented products, as well as the goals for a new vCloud test drive service for customers. For more from Lodge, see the full video below.
