In an interview with CRN TV during VMworld 2012, Rauch talked about what vCloud means for solution provider partners eager to expand their cloud offerings. "The excitement and momentum out of [VMworld 2012] is just unbelievable," he said. "They're extremely, extremely excited about the vCloud suite. It's an opportunity for them to expand the value of VMware. They've been gearing up for this for a long time."
Rauch said vCloud is an opportunity to make more money selling VMware products as well as related assessment, deployment and management services.
Rauch joined VMware as vice president of its Americas partner organization after a long career at HP, where he most recently served as vice president of U.S. channels for HP's Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking division.
