Getting To Know the VARBusiness 500

A little more about the VARBusiness 500 companies themselves: Nearly half of the firms (45 percent) have 100 to 999 employees, followed by 32 percent of firms with 1,000 or more employees and 23 percent with fewer than 100 employees. More than half of the companies are private (55 percent), 45 percent are public and 19 percent are divisions or subsidiaries of larger corporations. Their key vendors include Microsoft and IBM; key distributors include Ingram Micro, Tech Data and Synnex.
