CRN Fast Growth 100 company FusionStorm (46), San Francisco, has acquired Jeskell Incorporated, another CRN Fast Growth 100 company. Jeskell (69), Sunnyvale, Calif., provides information technology solutions based on IBM products and services to commercial enterprises, educational institutions, and government organizations. Buyer: TEKsystems Inc.

Now a subsidiary of nationwide IT recruiting and staffing company TEKsystems Inc., TSG IT Resources Inc. of Stoneham, Massachusetts is an IT consulting company.

Certain assets of CRN Fast Growth 100 company ProSys Information Systems (33), Norcross, Ga., have been acquired by wholesale IT distributor Bell Microproducts Inc. for $41 million. These assets include a proprietary software program called Bix-X-Change, marketed to small and midsize companies. Waltham, Mass. consulting firm and Epicor partner MSC eConsulting was acquired by Boston competitor Green Beacon Solutions LLC. MSC's personnel have joined Green Beacon in its Boston office. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Solution provider OuterNet Connection Strategies Inc. acquired Valerent Inc., the managed services subsidiary of Houston-based I-Sector Corp. The Houston Business Journal quoted I-Sector chairman and CEO James Long to say that Valerent was a small and strategically incompatible part of I-Sector's business, but growing in its own right.

Globix Corp., a provider of Internet infrastructure and network services, has agreed to sell its Globix Hosting LLC hosting business based in New York City to Quality Technology Services for $20 million. Quality Technology Services, which claims to be one of the largest privately held hosting and managed services companies in the United States, is aggressively expanding its nationwide presence. The transaction is expected to close in a month.

SAP partner Systech Integrators Inc. was acquired by BPO company Affiliated Computer Services Inc., better known as ACS, for $65 million plus contingencies based on performance. ACS plans to use this acquisition to increase its market presence in the SAP consulting sphere.

Kforce Government Solutions Inc. acquired Bradson Corp. for $73 million on October 2. Bradson Corp., founded in 1983 in Arlington, Va., provides information technology, financial and management consulting, operational support, and training services and solutions to government and private industry customers. Bradson Corp. is now a subsidiary of Kforce Government Solutions Inc.

Buyer: Microsoft Corp.

Microsoft acquired most of the assets of DesktopStandard Corp. for an undisclosed sum, reportedly in an effort to improve policy-based management of its Active Directory.
