Expanding its roster of content partners, Hewlett-Packard Tuesday said it is adding AOL and Flickr pre-installed applications to its new HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web printer.

Unveiled in June, HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web is the first-ever Internet-connected home printer, according to the company.

Pre-installed apps from partners such as AOL and Flickr can be downloaded by pressing an icon that is displayed on the 4.33-inch touch screen -- the largest LCD touch screen of any all-in-one inkjet printer on the market, according to HP.

Under the AOL alliance, users can download the Tabbloid service to create and print customized newsletters by selecting RSS feeds from blogs and Web sites. The new Flickr app will let members of the photo-sharing site access and print their photos directly from the printer. HP also inked new app deals with Disney Online and its Web sites Disney.com and DisneyFamily.com, and CBS News for text versions of "60 Minutes."

"Today's announcement is a major step forward in our Print 2.0 strategy -- we knew the Web would be the future of the printed page and now, with 50 percent of everything that is printed coming from the Web, we are embarking on a new era of consumer printing," said Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president, Imaging and Printing Group, HP, in a statement.

HP previously announced app download deals with USA Today, Google, Fandango, Coupons.com, DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon, Web Sudoku and Weathernews.

The HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web model has a $399 price tag and is available online through HP and Amazon.com and at brick and mortar outlets including Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot and OfficeMax.
