BayOne Extreme Removable Flash Media Reader/Writer

Soyo's BayOne Extreme allows users to expand a PC's functionality quickly and easily. The unit is an 8-In-1 Flash Media Reader/Writer that fits inside a PC's 5.25 inch drive bay for easy front panel access.

The BayOne Extreme features three front USB 2.0 ports and an audio in/out solution, although the audio on the pre-production test model used by CRN Test Center engineers did not work. The device is also compatible with USB 1.1.

Users can connect multiple USB devices to their PC and download photos, video, MP3 audio or hot-sync a PDA. The card reader/writer has four flash memory slots, and is compatible with a variety of removable media including Smart Media, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, and Compact Flash. The reader slides out easily and becomes a removeable storage solution using a USB connection.
