Arming A Flat-Panel Display

The heavy-duty steel mounting arm connects directly to any VESA-compliant flat-panel display. Non-VESA mounting options are also available.

The mounting arm is useful in health-care, financial and industrial settings and can benefit workers who sit at cramped desktops. Users in the service or repair industries that regularly consult manufacturers' Web sites or databases for product identification, replacement parts and assembly procedures can view the display when necessary and simply move it aside when they are finished.

The arm is made of heavy-duty steel parts and rotates 360 degrees via three swivel joints. The arm tilts more than 200 degrees, extends 24 inches and offers 16 inches of vertical movement. When folde, Innovative Office Products' model 7000 only takes up 3 inches of desktop space. The power and data cables for the attached display are routed through the hollow arm to ease installation and eliminate desktop clutter.

Solution providers can earn revenue by providing assembly and installation services. The arm can be mounted on a wall or on a user's desktop. For wall-mounting purposes, it's important that the mounting screws be installed into a wall stud. Sheetrock alone will not be able to hold up the weight of the arm and display, and the result will be damage to the wall and the display and the possibility of injuring someone.

The model 7000-800 can support monitors up to 22 pounds. The standard finish is powder-coated black, although other colors are available. In addition to the model 7000, Innovative Office Products has a full line of custom display mounting solutions.
