Wireless network connectivity usually offers users simple network access. But signal reception can sometimes be degraded, leading to intermittent access. Hawking Technologies' new HWUR54G Wireless-G Range Extender effectively doubles the range of wireless 802.11b/g networks and eliminates dead zones.
Solution providers can install the extender in minutes by placing it midway between the access point and the area with poor wireless coverage. To set it up, solution providers just run a Web-based configuration utility where they enter the SSID of the access point that needs extending. That's all there is to it.
