FileMaker Pro 11 Launches
Apple subsidiary FileMaker on Tuesday released FileMaker Pro 11, the next generation of its flagship workgroup and SMB database package. We had a chance to try out some of the new features, which include charting capabilities, new collaboration options, improved search, and enhanced report generation.
The system requirements for the Mac OS version are fairly strict -- only Macs running system 10.5.7 or above need apply. On the other hand, we were able to install the Windows version on an older PC running Windows XP with Service Pack 3 with no difficulties. Databases can be shared between both platforms.
