Achieving Victory At ePlus' National Sales Meeting

ePlus Wins A Gold Medal For Its Inspiring National Sales Meeting

VAR 500 Solution Provider superstar ePlus, which has jumped from 85 to 74 on this year's VARBusiness 500 list, held its three-day national sales meeting at Orlando's Omni ChampionsGate resort. The Olympic themed "Achieve" event featured Olympic team building events, awards for the top ePlus sales performers and was capped off with an Olympic keynote address by Mike Eruzione, who scored the winning goal in the Miracle on Ice victory over the Soviet Union team in 1980.

To The Victor Go The Spoils

ePlus' Sales Rep Gold Medal award winners hold their trophies high in the air. Somewhere in there are ePlus CEO Phil Norton and ePlus' hard driving Senior Vice President of Sales Mark Marron. Given the penchant for poaching top sales people we're withholding the names of the reps.

One Big $100 Bill

ePlus CEO Phil Norton (left) and Senior Vice President of Sales Mark Marron (right) present a king size $100 bill to one of the company's bigger reps. Marron had bet against the sales rep reaching a big quota. Needless to say the rep hit that target and more. Pay up, Mark!

By George We've Done It Again!

ePlus Vice President of George Pashardis says this national sales meeting was the biggest and best for the company. There were 120 ePlus sales reps at the event.

Microsoft On The Move

IBM's BMW Challenge

IBM National Business Partner Manager for ePlus Kevin Storms (left) was handing out remote controlled BMWs to ePlus sales reps. The big prize is a two-year lease on a BMW Z4 for a lucky sales rep that drives up IBM System X and Storage product sales from March 17- June 30. That's one sales contest that is sure to get results.

Not Just Monkey Business

ePlus VP Mindy Barton, who oversees the company's OneSource IT, a portal for ePlus customers that simplifies the procurement process, takes time out from her busy schedule to pose with Applications Director Mike Bates and a Curious George-like character.

Emergency Response

ePlus Account Executive Dave Guzzio shows off one of the company's powerful software solutions -- ePlus' Emergency Response and Digital Paper XE. The ePlus software solution provides first responders with instant wireless access to latest floor plans and maps. The DigitalPaper XE (Extended Enterprise) software provides enhanced collaboration with central dispatch to identify the best and fastest way to address an emergency situation.

ePlus' Professional Services' Hockey Star

ePlus National Vice President of Professional Services Stephen Stahl likes to give a body check to those sales reps not selling professional services. Stahl is the closest thing ePlus has to a hockey hero. He still skates three nights a week in an over-50 league.

HP's Super Cool Services Team

HP's super cool services team sports the Costa Del Mar sunglasses that were a staple at the event. The team is left to right: HP Marketing Coordinator Michelle Ahearn, HP Channel Sales Specialist Dave DiPalma, Costa Del Mar Senior Sales Coordinator Paul Taylor and HP Financial Business Partner Manager Pam Matera.

Looking Into ePlus' Future

Fortune Teller and Psychic Natasha (www.thepsychiclady.com), was reading the palms of ePlus sales reps. Here the Psychic reads the palm of ePlus sales rep Elise Meyer. We see big sales gains in ePlus' future.

Caricatures Welcome

Caricature artist Bob Kennedy provided some eye turning portraits of ePlus sales reps and conference attendees. Here Kennedy proudly displays the caricature of ePlus engineer Han Song Kim.

Go For The Gold

Olympic Gold Medalist Mike Eruzione shared the inspiring story of how a group of college kids did the impossible: defeat the dreaded Soviet Hockey team in the 1980 Olympics. Eruzione credited head coach Herb Brooks for setting the stage for the upset of the century. He called Brooks a great motivator who didn't talk for the sake of talking. There was always a method to his madness, said Eruzione. Some of Brooks' gems include his first address to the team ("I will be your coach. Not your friend.") to his pre-Soviet game speech ("You were born to be players. You were meant to be here. This moment is yours.")
