Johnson became president of the General Dynamics Information Technology business unit on April 1, replacing Michael E. Chandler, who is retiring. Previously, he was chief operating officer of Anteon, which General Dynamics acquired in June 2006 and combined with an existing unit to create the current company. He became executive vice president of operations for General Dynamics Information Technology with responsibility for day-to-day operations of the 16,000-person organization.
