The company's revenue in 2007 was flat compared with 2006; the company under Espe's leadership is taking steps to improve its financial performance. His prior experience as a manager at General Electric during a period of market softness (2001) has helped prepare him for the current economy: In January, Espe announced a spending reduction plan. The effort seems to be making a difference as the company is on track to reduce costs and expenses by $25 million in fiscal 2008.
