In December, Shuttleworth stepped down as CEO of Canonical to focus full time on Ubuntu product development and on growing partnerships within the Linux community. The move represents a shift back to his creative roots as the founder of the Ubuntu project in early 2004 with the aim to produce a high-quality desktop and server operating system that is freely available all over the world.
