Accenture: A Most Ethical Company

Accenture (2009 VAR500 rank: 3) has been named by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies for the third consecutive year. Accenture was recognized for initiatives that are instrumental to the company's success, benefit the community and raise the bar for ethical standards. (Accenture CEO William D. Ethisphere reviewed thousands of nominations from companies in more than 100 countries and 36 industries. The methodology for the ranking includes reviewing codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction histories; evaluating the investment in innovation and sustainable business practices; looking at activities designed to improve corporate citizenship; and studying nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers.

Digital River Webinar Offers E-Commerce Insights

The Webinar offers a market outlook from Forrester Research as well as insights into the back-office strategies of a leading consumer electronics company that continues to be successful in the online channel.

The presentation features Forrester Research e-commerce analyst Sucharita Mulpuru and Logitech's worldwide vice president of e-commerce, Lance Binley, and is moderated by Alan Littman, group vice president at Digital River.

CDW VP Headlines Social Media Conference

On Monday at the sold out Social Media: IAB Marketplace conference, Lauren McCadney (left), senior segment marketing manager, CDW, and Jay Hallberg, co-founder and vice president of marketing at Spiceworks will lead, "Effective Community B2B Marketing with Social Media " Lessons from B2B Marketers." The presentation will cover social media best practices business-to-business marketers can use to connect with prospects and buyers in online communities.

The conference is a one-day event in New York City that brings together some of the industry's most influential and respected social media experts. This year's speakers include representatives from Coca-Cola, BlogHer, Federated Media, Del Monte Foods, GE, Media Link and more.

Sword and Shield Spreads Security Gospel

Sword and Shield will host a breakfast Thursday, at 7:30 a.m., April 8 at the Tennesee Banker Association's Strategic Conference, and will also be available to discuss technology solutions at its booth there. The conference is at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn. A number of experts in financial institution technology needs will speak at the conference. Sword and Shield's offers expertise in PCI auditing, security policy development and forensic investigations. The solution provider will also host a luncheon seminar in Kingsport, Tenn. on April 13 to address the latest trends in Spam, Spyware, Web Content Filtering and eDiscovery that are affect customers' productivity and bottom lines. Bill Dean, Sword and Shield's Director of Computer Forensics, will showcase Electronic Discovery and its uses with Barracuda's new product lines, such as its e-mail archive system (pictured).
