Arrow Acquires French Distributor

Arrow Electronics has signed an agreement to purchase Altimate Group, a French-based distributor of enterprise and midrange hardware, storage, data management, security, and infrastructure solutions and services.

Altimate operates in eight European countries and has about 2,500 solution provider customers, according to Arrow. Altimate reported $298 million in sales for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2011, and has about 250 employees.
