ePlus Debuts Portable Videoconferencing Solution

ePlus is offering is a low-cost alternative for whole-room, portable, videoconferencing. ePlus Advantage Portable Video Conferencing is an alternative to permanently installed video technology. The solution lets enterprises take advantage of high-definition collaboration technology that is equivalent to the best fixed installations, yet can be easily moved and quickly set up to meet customer demand. The ePlus Advantage Portable Video Conferencing solution is based on Cisco technology and allows customers to choose one of four configurations to fit their needs, requirements and budget.

Micros' Hospitality Management System A Grand Slam

Micros' 9700 Hospitality Management System has been implemented with food and beverage and retail functionality as its stadium management solution throughout Great American Ball Park. The point-of-sale installation at the home of the Cincinnati Reds spans 28 concession stands, two restaurants, 65 suites, seven retail stores and mobile service for 42,271 seats. The solution implemented by Micros includes Keyboard Workstation 270 as well as Mobile Micros with MC55A handheld devices for traditional in-seat ordering and MC55A handheld devices for use at the Reds Team Shop.

Fiserv Wins Credit Union Account

Fiserv will implement its Acumen account processing solution at SAC Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in Nebraska. The $570 million institution will also use additional Fiserv financial computing solutions, including Nautilus for document imaging, Prologue Financial Accounting Services, AML Manager for money-laundering detection and reporting, WireXchange and solutions for ATM processing. Automated workflows, built-in eCRM functionality and Web services through Acumen give the credit union's associates a 360-degree view of SAC FCU's members.

CSC Wins NASA Award

CSC has won the Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year from NASA. Selection criteria for the large business prime contractor category included performing well on all NASA contracts; demonstrating overall sound small business programs; meeting or exceeding small business requirements; using small business contractors to perform some technical tasks required by the contract during its execution; and sponsoring and participating in outreach activities.

CompuCom, Intel Offer Joint Mobile Solution

CompuCom Systems has integrated third-generation Intel Core vPro processors with its EUC Workbench tools remote management solution. The combination of Intel and CompuCom technologies helps service desk workers remotely manage and repair systems that formerly required costly and time-consuming deskside visits by a technician. Embedded security features enabled by the Intel processors encompass threat management, protecting against viruses, malware and other invading agents, as well as access technologies, so only authorized users -- not invading agents -- can access authentication credentials.
