As the owner of Knowledge Information Systems (KIS), the company's revenue increased more than seven times since 2002, growing from $9 million to over $68 million in 2011. A founding member of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), Giordano was also appointed to the Virginia Research and Technology Advisory Council (2002-2005) and reappointed from 2005-2009 by Virginia Governor Mark Warner, who appointed her to the Governor’s Economic Development Strategic Planning Council 2002-2005. She's been on James Madison University's College of Integrated Science and Technology’s STEM advisory council since 2003. And, she's led two-year sales growth of 67 percent; revenue in 2011 topped $68 million.
