If overeating is standing in the way of achieving a beach-ready body, the HAPIfork can help buzz away the pesky habit. The new "smart fork" keeps track of the number of bites taken and average mealtime. If the fork determines its user is approaching food-shoveling speeds, it vibrates and lights up, alerting the eater to slow down. The idea is, if a person eats slower, they will feel fuller faster and, in the end, eat less. No need to give up the occasional ice cream binge just yet; HAPIspoon has not hit the market. But, it's available for pre-order through HAPILabs' Kickstarter campaign.
