10 Federal Contracts That Show Accenture Is Up For The HealthCare.gov Challenge

6. Department Of Education

In a contract working with the Department of Education's Office of Student Financial Assistance, Accenture assisted in the creation of StudentLoans.gov, a site that helps facilitate the administrative process of federal student loans and provides a portal for students shopping for college financial aid.

The contract shows how the company can take disparate systems from universities, the government and individuals and have them work together, Veto said.

"It's a really family-friendly example of our IT work," Veto said.

The contract is expected to save the government $79 million by the end of fiscal year 2015, adding up to $68 billion in savings over the next decade as a result of the consolidation.
