Vic Gundotra

Google's "social czar" Vivek Gundotra resigned from the company last month as senior vice president for social. In a post on his Google+ page, Gundotra said he was ready for "a new journey" but has not revealed what that will be. Gundotra spent nearly eight years at Google, which hired him away from Microsoft, where he worked as general manager of Platform Evangelism; Google waited a year for his non-compete agreement to expire before officially hiring him in 2007. Google Vice President of Engineering David Besbris has taken over Gundotra's duties.
