Some 60 companies of the 2016 CRN Solution Provider 500 made the 2016 Inc. 5000 list, which ranks the fastest-growing private companies over the last three years. CRN's Fast Growth 150 list, meanwhile, tracks the two-year growth rate of all solution providers.

Security, data analytics and cloud are some of the most typical areas of expertise for the fastest-growing members of the CRN SP500.

Other common specialties for fast-growing solution providers on the Inc. 5000 list include data center, networking, managed services, unified communications and virtualization.

Thirteen of the fastest-growing SP 500 companies were founded since 2005, while 16 others were founded since 2000. Nine of the fastest-growing companies are led by female executives.

SEI was founded in 1986, and is led by Ronald Alvesteffer.

The company was founded in 2010, and is led by Steven Leavitt. vCORE is the 16th fastest-growing private company in the Phoenix area and the 17th fastest-growing private company in Arizona, according to Inc.

Incedo is the ninth fastest-growing private company in the San Jose area, according to Inc.

FedBiz IT Solutions was founded in 2011, and is led by Mexico-born Air Force veteran Nina Tiaga. The 11-person company works with federal government agencies such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Department of Labor.

FedBiz IT Solutions is the fastest-growing company in the Virginia, Washington D.C.-area and government services spaces, according to Inc.
