Brand New Beginnings: 5 Hot White-Label Cloud Services

Branding Bonuses

VARs making the move to the cloud are flocking to white-label service offerings from a variety of cloud providers, from established hosting providers to SaaS startups. Here's a look at five notable white-label service programs that allow partners to put their own company name on the cloud.

Check out the rest of CRN's special report on white label cloud services, available in the iTunes App Store and the Windows Store.

Intermedia Private Label Exchange Hosting

Introduced last year, Intermedia's private-label model for Microsoft Exchange email hosting is simple: Partners can use their logos and company names on the service, determine the margins, and handle all support and billing (again, with their own company name). Partners have access to Intermedia's wholesale cloud service rates, which gives them greater flexibility on price and margins. Plus, solution providers can access Intermedia's Proprietary Partner Portal to leverage brandable marketing collateral and add-on services.

"If you choose," Intermedia's partner site says, "your customers will not know we exist."

ElasticHosts White-Label Reseller Program

ElasticHosts, a London-based cloud provider, introduced its White Label Reseller Program last year as a way to attract more channel partners both in the U.K. and North America. ElasticHosts emphasizes ease of use and speed for partners; the program is designed to get resellers, MSPs and systems integrators up and running with a branded version of ElasticHost's IaaS in just one day. Plus, once the service is launched partners receive 30 percent of the monthly IaaS fees. Not bad for a day's work.

Evolve IP Private Label Program

Evolve IP, a private cloud startup based in Wayne, Pa., is just a few years old but already has several dedicated partner program offerings, including a white-label program. The Private Label Program allows solutions providers to brand a variety of Evolve IP's services (virtual desktop/server, cloud call center and hosted unified communications). Private-label partners receive online and on-site sales and technical training, customized marketing collateral, and a dedicated "executive sponsor," project manager and technical adviser to help deliver the services.

Dimension Data OneCloud Partner Program

Dimension Data has emerged as one of the top cloud companies in the channel over the past few years, and the company also has built up a strong partner presence with its OneCloud Partner Program. One of the key components of that program is the ability for partners to white-label Dimension Data's Managed Cloud Platform (MCP). In addition to fully branding the MCP, the program also gives partner pre-integrated billing and support systems, plus scalable multitenant billing, reporting and usage scenarios as well as a rigorous 16-week sales and marketing enablement course.

Peak IaaS White Cloud

Peak, formerly known as PeakColo, specializes in enterprise-class IaaS and this year launched its IaaS White Cloud, which gives partners the opportunity to fully brand the cloud service. Peak gives solution providers ownership of the customer relationship and offers a dedicated network connection from the partner location to Peak's cloud, plus 24x7 support so partners can offer guaranteed service-level agreements. Peak already has struck distribution deals with both Avnet and Comstor to offers its IaaS White Cloud to resellers.
