D&H Distributing held its annual Technology Show show in Hershey, Pa., June 10. The show has become perhaps the largest distributor event of the year, attracting more than 1,000 solution providers and 150 vendors. Many of the manufacturers are smaller companies, new to the channel, and offering products that are not likely to be found through other major distributors.
The show is also a sales event for the distributor, which rakes in millions of dollars in sales. Many vendors offer discounts for VARs that purchase at the show.
"Every vendor has sales at the event," said Dan Schwab, co-president of D&H, Harrisburg, Pa. "The ones that we do the best sales with are a lot of times [vendors] that the solution providers are not as familiar with. If it's a basic, commoditized product, sales will be good if it's a special price, but typically, it's the guy who's looking for something to complete a solution and finds it here."
With that in mind, here are a dozen products that you're not likely to find anywhere else.
