A Look at Dell's Latest Studio Hybrid and Inspiron PCs

Dell's Studio Hybrid, its smallest desktop PC to date, is designed to fit seamlessly into the home environment.

Styled for both fashion and functionality, it comes in seven finishes: bamboo, emerald, quartz, ruby, sapphire, slate, and topaz.

The Studio Hybrid PC, shown here in ruby, can be configured either vertically or horizontally to slip into any space a user wants, from desktops to book cases to home media centers. Starting at $499, the Studio Hybrid PC is available through Dell immediately and will be available through retailers in the fall.

When configured as shown with a wireless mouse and keyboard, the Studio Hybrid PC can be used for applications ranging from checking email and the Internet and then, with the push of a button, be used to watch television if configured with the optional television tuner.

The PC is about 80 percent smaller than a typical desktop minitower, uses up to 70 percent less energy and is Energy Star 4.0 compliant, according to Dell.

Dell's Inspiron 13 notebook computer with a 13-inch high definition display weighs in at about about five pounds and comes in pacific blue with black trim.

Options include built-in wireless networking, webcam and Bluetooth connectivity. Starting Aug 3, the Inspiron 13 will be available at Wal-Mart for $699. Fully-configurable versions will be available from Dell.com later in the month.

The Inspiron 518 desktop, in black with chrome accents, is designed for home use. The Inspiron 518, available from Dell, starts at $349.
