George Hope

George Hope joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise following its $650 million purchase of SimpliVity last year, and now the former channel chief will become HPE's vice president of worldwide distribution.

Hope will be responsible for all global distribution relationships, reporting to new HPE Global Channel Chief Paul Hunter. He built a strong track record of success in nearly two decades as a channel executive and most recently helped drive massive sales growth at hyper-converged storage startup SimpliVity.

Before joining SimpliVity in 2014, Hope spent three years as director of EMC's U.S. channels sales arm for the U.S. for EMC and several more as senior director of global channels for EMC's Isilon network-attached storage division.
