EMC And Cisco: Co-Opetition Gone Wild In An Industry Used To Disruption

Readying For A New Dynamic

EMC and Cisco have a long history of working together, whether through their VCE joint venture, or jointly developing VSPEX reference architecture, or in other ways to develop their respective data center businesses.

This relationship has worked well thanks in large part to the fact that EMC is the storage giant with no networking or server business while Cisco is the networking giant with a solid enterprise server business and no storage.
