Six iPad Accessories Available Now

The Apple iPad won't even be available for several weeks, but that doesn't have to stop you from stocking up on accessories for the latest don't-call-it-a-netbook. A slew of companies have already released iPad-related products. Here's a look at some of them.

iLuv has launched lines of leather, fabric and plastic cases as well as protective film covers with prices ranging from $14.99 to $39.99. The cases are available in solid colors and with graphics and will be available this month.

OK, in some cases a manufacturer just has to add the word "iPad" to an existing product. Such appears to be the case here for a Netbook bag, albeit a nice netbook bag available in four colors, from Skooba Design for $49.95.

NLU Products LLC has developed some clear protective skins for the front (screen) and back of the iPad. Designed to prevent scratches, the BodyGuardz protectors are custom fit for the iPad and are near invisible. They're made from the same material used to shield the front of automobiles from stones and other abrasive elements, according to the company. BodyGuardz are available for $19.95 for the screen, $24.95 for the back and sides, or $29.95 for full body protection.

Griffin Technology also has a slew of cases and skins coming for the iPad. We chose the Elan Passport ($49.99) for its classic black design, tab closure and ability to hold some business cards!

Belkin's $39 sleeve for the iPad is available in Perfect Plum/Violet Mist and black/white. This unique design has a see-through pocket and is made of neoprene and has a soft interior lining for added protection.

Apple isn't going to let everyone else have all the fun. The iPad maker also has its own line of accessories planned, including the Keyboard Dock pictured here, which allows you to charge your iPad connected to a full-size keyboard. There's also an audio jack to attach speakers. Apple also has a case, camera connection kit and USB power adapter available. Price: $69.
